Quiznos has dealt with franchise failure problems over the years and for Quiznos franchisees franchise failure is all too realistic of a possibility with the issues Quiznos has suffered from. In an effort to mitigate against Quiznos franchisee failure a
franchisee association has been formed. The Quiznos Franchisee Association (QZFA) is an independent association of franchisees (IAOF) sanctioned by Quiznos Corporate to represent the franchisees interests and will take the place of all other previously established Quiznos Associations (including TSFA).
Kevin Tackett, president of the QZFA, said "we need to align ourselves in order to make a positive change in the business model and re-establish the value of the Quiznos brand". Both sides hope to help strengthen the franchisor-franchisee relationship through the association and long term hope to improve franchise operations and increase profits.
From my prospective Quiznos definitely has "franchise failure" issues that need to be addressed. Hopefully this franchisee association will take a proactive approach to protecting its member franchisees and the Quiznos franchise system.
