Is it necessary to have a partnership agreement when starting a business in New Jersey with a partner?

A: Although partnership agreements are not legally necessary in New Jersey they are strongly suggested. Not having a partnership agreement in place for your New Jersey business partnership can result in expensive and time consuming litigation that would be unnecessary and more easily handled if a partnership agreement was in place.
