What is a "member" of a limited liability company.

A: The "members" of a limited liability company (LLC) are the individual owners of the LLC. "Members" of an LLC are similar to the "shareholders" of a corporation. That is on, LLC's and members are the equity owners and holders. Members of an LLC are issued "membership" units/certificates" representing each members percentage equity interest in the LLC.
