What length of time is given to review a franchise agreement?
A:
According to the Federal Trade Commission there is a mandatory franchise agreement review period of 7 days in situations where the franchisor has materially altered the terms and conditions of the standard agreements attached to the disclosure documents. A materially altered change does not include "fill in the blank" areas such as franchisee name, address, date, etc.
