In the State of California, the California Department of Corporations is charged with the authority of monitoring franchisor sales, compliance with franchise registration and registration of a Franchisor's FDD. When faced with a dispute with your Franchisor respecting certain disputes and/or alleged violations, one possible resource for franchisees may involve the filing of a complaint with the California Department of Corporations.
